I channeled my inner Mindy Lahiri and went all out girly girly girl on you. this is the second look of my valentine’s day outfit series, and i’m gonna just call this one my “cream puff” look because that’s all i can think of when i see this skirt… hanging like a billowing blush cloud in my closet. ahhhhh *ascends to fashion heaven*

anyyyyway! this color combo is a first for me, and i completely fell in love. pink & red together can be a bit over the top, but the key is to 1) keep your accessories & shoes simple 2) don’t let the red & pink fight for attention (only mix with neutrals) and 3) strut around with confidence (haha!). if you don’t have the confidence to pull of hot pinks with red, then try to stick with a light and dark shades like I did in this look. i mixed the pastel pink with a vibrant red to provide some balance to the strong color duo. The baby pink softens the intensity of the red. I also love combining different textures to create more dimension. remember: when you have two spicy hot colors RIGHT next to each other, your viewer’s eyes will fight on what to concentrate on. Try to let the colors speak for themselves and keep everything else simple. Can’t wait to try this combo in bolder shades! hope you enjoy this look as much as i do. peace out, LOVAZZZ

You rock that skirt, and I love the color combo. I’ve always wanted a rosette skirt.
