FASHION X AUSTIN: MEN 2015
this year so far has been an incredible year of new friendships. my new year’s resolution was to be more involved in the Austin community and connect with more peers in the fashion industry. i am happy to say that this is the only resolution that i’ve actually accomplished since working out, eating gluten free and getting 8 hours a sleep a night have already fallen by the wayside. i have been SO blessed to be able to attend this year’s Austin Fashion Week, Buick’s Eat Out for Good kickoff dinner and female empowering See Jane Give event, and now i’m excited to announce a brand new event happening next week.
Fashion X Austin (producer of Austin Fashion Week) is throwing their very first Fashion X Austin: MEN event presented by Cadillac on June 13, 2015. following the wildly successful “Men’s Event” during the 2014 Austin Fashion Week, Fashion X Austin has created a one night event dedicated to men’s style. this is perfect timing considering Father’s Day is just around the corner.
founder Matt Swinney says: “Men’s style has evolved dramatically over the last few years in Austin. We have been working for more than a year with Cadillac to put together an elegant, yet approachable even that speaks to all elements of men’s style – from fashion and grooming to cars and cocktails, Fashion X Austin: MEN will have a little taste for everyone.” women are, of course, welcome as well (woot woot)!
while there will be no formal runway shows, attendees will be treated to fashion presentations from designers and retailers like Ross Bennett, United Apparel Liquidators, M. Andrews Sartorial Luxury and more. guests will get up close and personal with groups of models representing each brand. interactive vendors including Beardbrand, Ross Bennett, In My Closet, Duxti Leather and Soto & Co will offer beard treatments, wardrobe styling, and exclusive shopping discounts. personally, i love this format because it allows you to talk, network and get personal with the designers and business owners!
in addition to the style components, the event will feature some delicious nom noms by Catering with a Twist and yummy drinks by Deep Eddy Vodka (i can literally bathe in deep eddy ruby red vodka).

i am SO STOKED for next weekend. jeremy has been trying to revamp his wardrobe, so it will be an inspiration overload for us. he also maintains a thick beard, so we are extra excited to meet the folks at Beardbrand. anything to keep that thing under control is a must in my book.
