this thanksgiving was extra special for me. we spent the weekend at my in laws in katy, and my parents came up to celebrate with us. both sides of the family bonded so well… it was like we’ve been family for decades. there was no drama and fighting, just bonding, laughing and enjoying delicious food. growing up, i always hoped to have a close relationship with my husband’s family, but i never thought that both sets of parents would develop a deep relationship. holidays like thanksgiving are amazing because it forces you to stop and appreciate the things you take for granted. for me, it’s like taking a mental snapshot of a beautiful moment you want to cherish forever. one day, people will pass on and it’s times like these you can look back and smile. this sounds terribly morbid, but i always think “even if everything went to shit tomorrow, i am so blessed to be able to have this moment with people i love and love me back.” anyway, enough with the sappy talk. hope you all had a wonderful holiday. i send you all my love. xoxo
Pros of the weekend: buying the entire internet on black friday. making homemade eggrolls. playing board games like machi koro, morels, takenoko & bang!. bonding with my new sister in law. boba schnopes in a santa costume. eating the best persian food ever at kasra.
Cons of the weekend: getting viral bronchitis.
