DAY TO NIGHT DENIM LOOKS with EXPRESS
Hey guys! It’s part 2 of our affordable jeans week, and today I am styling three pairs of denim jean leggings from EXPRESS! Jean leggings are a great option when you are looking for a skin tight fit with an ultra stretchy feel. Unlike rigid jeans, you can move around in complete comfort without sacrificing the look of denim. I love Express leggings because they fit every activity of my day – from working from home to running to meetings to enjoying date night. When I’m working from home, I need a pair of leggings that give me maximum stretch and feel like pajamas. It’s so tempting to just roll out of bed and work in actual pajamas all day, but I changing into real clothes helps put me in the productivity mind set immediately. For my work from home days, I can be sitting in an office chair writing, running around setting up a video shoot or curled up on the couch with my laptop all day. For this level of activity, I love to throw on my Stretch+ Destroyed Ankle Leggings in petite. The intense rips and distressed patches give me even more flexibility as I conquer my day, and the bounce back is so great. No bag out in the butt! I can’t rave enough about how insanely comfortable these jeans are. In fact, after this photoshoot, I literally wore this entire outfit straight to the airport for an 8 hour trip to New York. I didn’t want to take it off!

To complete this look, I threw on a black button front cami and layered on a super sleek roll neck cardigan. I normally go with either a simple cotton tee shirt or this cami + cardi combo when I want a cozier vibe. Express is one of my favorite resources for super cute cardigans. As afternoon hits, sometimes I need to run out for a more professional meet up. Since I no longer work in an office, my meetings are almost always in a business casual setting. I go with my fool proof outfit recipe: the fitted blazer + non distressed jeans + power pump. I swap my “Work from Home” destroyed leggings for a simple wash with no distressing to up the formal factor. Today’s combo includes this sunny yellow boyfriend blazer paired with a simple ribbed tank and Mid Rise Dark Wash Stretch Jean Leggings. I LOVE that Express carries these jeans in a short hem length for shorties like me. I never need to visit the tailor because the length hits perfectly at my ankle.

Also if you follow my work video on YouTube, you will know that I have quite the Express blazer collection :) As a petite dresser, it’s sometimes hard to find blazers that are fitted and tailored enough to hug your body. Express blazers are slim in the torso and appropriately structured at the shoulders. I go with an XXS in all the latest styles and find a new favorite every time!

For our final look, let’s bring on that bling, girl! In addition to simple, casual washes, Express makes unique embellished and embroidered jeans that are screaming for a night out on the town. I’m wearing the High Waisted Beaded Stretch Ankle Leggings that features a contrasting silver beaded side stripe with an edgy all black Asymmetrical Strappy One Shoulder Tank. The jeans are giving me tuxedo vibes with the side stripes, and the cut-out in the shoulder gives a graphic visual pop from afar.
