Hi loves! Today I’m thrilled to be celebrating J.Crew‘s latest collection launch with England-based wallpaper designer Abigail Borg. Her quirky floral designs come in bold, vibrant colors, making this capsule a fabulous lead-in to the dramatic fall season. My look today features one of my favorite closet staples – a shirtdress! Pop this dress on for an instant complete look. A shirtdress is the perfect work-to-weekend transitional piece, flattering many body shapes and wearable for a variety of occasions. The second star of today’s look is this Italian suede crossbody bag! This is my first J.Crew handbag, and I was delighted at the awesome quality and feel of this bag. The oversized buckle makes such a statement paired with that contrasting, wide leather strap, and I also appreciate the juxtaposition of the smooth tan leather and olive suede. This bag is SO READY for fall and it also comes in blush and red!

I’m currently in Houston for the week and boy is it HOT! Appreciating the top to bottom button front detailing in this humid weather right now. I love that you can keep it fully buttoned for more modesty or undo a few buttons to create a customized front slit. The dress is made so well, fully lined with a lightweight fabric that is machine washable. I remember working a corporate job in the sweltering Texas sun, and sometimes full silk pieces are hard to upkeep with the constant sweating. I appreciate a machine washable piece any day!

This dress also comes complete with a matching, removable tie belt and side pockets. So adorable!
