Hey guys! I can’t believe it’s already the end of October!!! It’s slowly but surely getting chillier outside, so I wanted to share some killer outerwear finds that will take you right into the winter season. As I was shopping around for my winter wardrobe, I was s h o o k at the amount of adorable statement coats out there right now. Even though I’m obsessed with all things minimal, there is a big part of me that loves to go full Liberace sometimes. Bold colors, patterns, prints, ruffles, fringe, fur… you name it! If you are feeling blah or lacking creativity with your winter wardrobe, a high impact coat can really lift the spirits. For a big statement, don’t be afraid to play with different pattern combos and layering over your crazy winter sweaters. For a more subtle approach, invest in one solid color coat that sparks joy and matches well with your everyday winter color palette. Here are the favorites that caught my eye along with more affordable options under $200:

For today’s look, I wore the latest version of my favorite 2017 coat, this Topshop boucle coat in bright mustard yellow. I love how nubby and substantial this coat feels, and the golden color makes me happy every time I put it on. A well made coat makes me feel so chic and grown up at the same time. I went the subtle route by pairing it with a crisp, white jumpsuit, my smooth black Antigona bag and leopard pumps for a pop of pattern, but I’m excited to style this coat with other colors like red, navy or forest green! I also got several compliments walking around downtown San Francisco, which is always heart warming, but I bet a lot of people thought I looked like a walking egg yolk too. Miss Gudetama 2018 LOL! Anyway, hope you guys are doing good out there. I have a lot of big life changes coming up that I’m anxious, yet excited to share with you in the upcoming months. Love you!

Yellow Coat [Size 2US] | Jumpsuit (similar & similar) | Leopard Pointy Toe Pumps | Black Antigona Bag & affordable option

Quick note on size & fit: This 2018 version looks more upscale compared to my 2017 version, featuring a more dramatic dropped shoulder, longer length and a slight cocoon silhouette. The fit is definitely oversized which is great when you have bulky winter sweaters underneath, but if you want a more fitted look, I would definitely still size down (wearing size 2US).
