Hi NSale Fam! I know so many of you found me from my annual coverage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale over the past seven years. It means so much to me that you will be joining me for another year of sales shopping! For those of you new to the sale, basically the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale offers new arrivals ON SALE from all our top favorite brands. Nordstrom cardmembers get to shop the sale before everyone else during Early Access, and everyone will be able to shop the sale on August 19th. MY SHOE PICKS

I am a little torn on what to do with the shoes this year because we’re not really going outside like we used to, but the styles and deals are so good! I am going to try stuff on and just see what items really speak to me. For everyday ankle booties, I have these on my list to try: steve madden kaylah & nadalie booties, the marc fisher oshay booties, and the vince camuto gradina booties. For OTK boots, I always head to steve madden because they always have an under $100 option for narrow leg girls.

For outdoorsy booties, I LOVE the bp taylor combat boots! I was looking for the perfect pair of white combat boots, and I think this one will fit the bill. I also like the naturalizer colby hiking boots for fall, and for a splurge buy, I was interested in checking out the paige natasha chelsea boots.

AFFORDABLE SHOES UNDER $50

CARDIGANS

For summer to fall transition, a light cardigan is your best friend. Cute, cozy and the perfect 3rd element to complete your outfit base. Each year I go to the SAME 3 brands: BP, Leith, Topshop. This year we have the BP Open Stitch Cardigan, the Leith Cozy Long Cardigan and the Topshop Ribbed Open Front Cardigan. A wide range of versatile solid colors, this is a great place to start in your search for a basic cardi. I also saw this cute striped colorblock one from Caslon and this elegant long camel one from Topshop that I may throw in my cart too. If you are looking for the SNUGGLIEST (and great gift idea) cardigans, you must check out the Barefoot Dreams collection!

SWEATERS

From fall to winter, I live in basic sweaters. They replace my everyday tees now that I live in a cold climate. BP BRINGS IT with the simple crewneck sweaters, and this year the winner is the Easy Drop Shoulder Sweater. I am so happy to see this shape again because I have ones from 3-4 years ago still in my closet. Another annual affordable favorite is the DREAMERS by DEBUT line. They only have a few skus each year, but they are always cute for the price – like this off the shoulder sweater oroversized sweater that’s good for leggings.

TOPS

Here is where I love to score my long sleeve tees for the cold season! I’ve had this Halogen striped modal long sleeve tee for years and LOVE IT. I also dig henley & thermal top options for winter.  There are also tons of basic crewneck and v-neck tees available for under $15. In contrast, if you have a bunch of basic tops, you can scope out the accent blouses or plaid button downs (perfect for fall!)

MATCHING LOUNGE SETS

BOTTOMS

If you love leggings, now is the time to clean house. Faux leather, ponte, athletic, everyday stretch – there are many great options in the sale at great prices! I still till this day LOVE my SPANX faux leather leggings & Zella live in leggings that I bought in past sales.

I also normally pick up 1-2 skirts, a mini and a pencil. My highest recommendation is the BLANK NYC suede mini skirts. I’ve collected different colors over the years, and it is a must have for the fall.

I think this is my first year where I am going to go super light on the designer jeans. I didn’t see anything that really caught my eye, and the selection seems to be more limited this year. My favorite pair from last year was my Good American Good Legs, so I may try the raw hem style they have this year in dark & light washes. Honestly, the best styles I’ve seen are all under the $100 mark. Jean options from STS Blue, Wit & Wisdom, Kut from the Kloth and BLANK NYC. The “ribcage” style of Levi’s are my absolute favorite and I do see a pair in the sale.

BRAS

Bras are one of my favorite things to stalk during the sale. Over the past 3 years, I’ve slowly collected my collection of Natori bras during each Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. In terms of bags, nothing really stuck out to me except for one of my favorite brands, Clare V, has some cute animal print options! I have several midi sacs and consider them a perfect daily small crossbody.
